Freedom Run Farm uses a variety of heritage breeds to preserve an important agricultural product that could easily be lost to the demands of industrial agriculture, and to raise and produce the finest quality American lamb. Among these breeds are Katahdin, Merino, Suffolk, Rambouillet, Hampshire, and hybrids of these breeds, all specifically raised to be versatile, robust animals with the exceptional qualities of highly-marbled, tender, and mildly-flavored lamb. Freedom Run Farm lamb is part of a Certified USDA program, featuring large-frame, meaty lambs that stand apart from imported varieties. Our lamb is highly marbled with a milder, sweeter flavor. After over a decade of developing and refining our unique brand specifications, we've created a taste that’s truly distinct from the average rack of lamb. We look for distinct qualities in our breedstock and, through careful and controlled breeding operations, we continue to hone in on specific breeds and breed hybrids that help us bring consistently delicious lamb to market year-round.

Our dedicated farming community understands that what makes Merri Valley Lamb so special is growing them on fresh green grass and finishing them on grain. This feeding method has been refined from years of farming and working together to deliver superior lamb to the world. Only the finest lambs are then selected for traditional halal slaughter before being processed and packaged within the company as part of our fully integrated procedures. Our highly trained Midfield team have years of industry experience, choosing only the best quality animals and maintaining the highest standards in halal processing and quality assurance systems.
